History

Offering Transformative Christian Education

1987

Founded in Zimbabwe

The College was established in 1987 in Zimbabwe by United Apostolic Faith Church (UAFC) with the intention of meeting the training needs of the church in Southern Africa. In 2016 the vision to train the greater constituency of the body of Christ was born  under the oversight of a Board of Trustees. The majority of leaders needing training in the 21st century cannot afford to go on campus for a long period at the expense of ministry or work. The concept of setting up an open training institution was then birthed so as to allow Christians to get their training while doing the work of ministry at the same time.

AFCBC equips students with sound ministry and theological skills to enable continued church growth and sustainability. The College also aims to move the church from observation to demonstration, harvest and transformation of society.

The College desires to network between denominations, churches, organizations, and nations to raise leaders for the body of Christ. It is to this purpose that Africa for Christ Bible College is dedicated, to recruit and train future leaders for the body of Christ.

The curriculum takes students beyond teaching to training where fieldwork is required. The participation to which students are challenged is that of spiritual reproduction within the communities they minister. While much focus will be on spiritual growth and productivity, AFCBC aims to promote a culture of research and marketplace cadres. Students are encouraged to think outside the box. We are not in competition with the traditional church doctrine but our training is for those who have been searching for transformative Christian education.
